Intra University Cooperation

The Center cooperates closely with several of the University’s colleges, including the College of Food and Agricultural Sciences, the College of Arts, the College of Engineering, the College of Science, the College of Pharmacy, and the Community Service Center. This cooperation takes the form of participation in research, conferences and symposia, as well as technical consultations, training, and provision of assistance to students and researchers to enable them to complete their research using the technology available in the Center’s Remote Sensing Unit.

Participation in joint specialized committees; training; symposia; information and
publication exchange; participation in the Desertification Resistance Committee;
participation in the preparation for the formation of a national organization for
date palms.

• Ministry of Water and Electricity
The Supervisor of the Center is a member of the Ministry’s National Consultative
Committee; the Center cooperates with the Ministry in the implementation of a
number of projects and in research.

• Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs
Joint studies; participation in specialized committees to lay the guidelines for
planting trees in cities.

• Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu
Completion of a joint book on native flora of Jubail and Yanbu.

• High Commission for the Development of Riyadh
Cooperation in the agricultural and environmental development of Wadi Hanifa,
especially as regards wild plants.
