The Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water is actively involved in organizing and sponsoring a wide range of water-related conferences around the world.

First and foremost, the Prize (in conjunction with King Saud University and the Saudi Ministry of Water and Electricity) organizes the bi-annual International Conference on Water Resources and Arid Environments (ICWRAE), which is held concurrently with the Prize's awards ceremony. Under the Patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz, ICWRAE brings together a distinguished body of scholars and experts from around the world to share water-related research in a spirit of benevolence and with a global vision.

The 3rd Conference also hosted regional and international workshops on the ministerial level.
